This is the paradise of Havasu Creek, one of the Grand Canyon’s crown jewels, and home to the indigenous Havasupai Indians.

This hike starts in one of the most remote corners in Arizona and descends eight miles through a narrow canyon to the village of Supai, the most isolated settlement in the contiguous United States.  This quiet little town is the traditional home of the Havasupai Indians.  There are no cars here, instead, horses and mules are still depended upon to deliver food and supplies, and are the primary form of transportation for the locals.  Here, the Havasupai can still be seen farming their traditional crops of corn, squash, beans, and peaches along the banks of Havasu Creek, while the children laugh and play games in the dusty streets 

From the village, the trail follows Havasu Creek two more miles to our campground and the world-famous Navajo, Havasu, and Mooney waterfalls. This is our base camp for the remainder of the trip.  While here, you can relax in the shade under giant Cottonwood trees, swim in the turquoise pools below Havasu falls, or take a day hike farther down the trail as it descends precariously down the face of a cliff to the bottom of Mooney falls and continues downstream; past ancient mine shafts, rope swings, hidden swimming pools, the remote Beaver falls, and finally ends at the Colorado River.  No matter how you decide to spend your time in this desert wonderland, you will surely agree with our guides that this is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and you will dream of returning again and again!
